General Plan and Housing Element Hearing at Planning Commission

At the August 20, 2024, meeting of the Planning Commission, the Commission will consider the 2040 General Plan, 2023-2031 Housing Element, Final Environmental Impact Report, and a draft ordinance modifying text in the Larkspur Municipal Code. Proposed Zoning Code changes include modification of the Circulation Assessment Permit threshold, Traffic Impact Fees, rezoning sites to Open Space & rezoning sites to Housing Priority Overlay Zone with new minimum and maximum densities and allowing housing in the Administrative-Professional District. At the meeting, the Commission will make a recommendation on the items to the City Council.

Comments can be submitted in writing to [email protected]. All written comments should be provided no later than 4:00 pm the day of the meeting.

Following the recommendation by the Planning Commission, the City Council will consider certification of the Final EIR and approval of the 2040 General Plan, 2023-2031 Housing Element, and introduction of the ordinance at its September 4, 2024, meeting of the City Council.
