CMG Honors Top Sellers & Client Service Leaders

Melanie Martin, Claire Spielberg & David Cohen named top sales leaders for Digital, TV and Radio

ATLANTA (August 14, 2024) -- Cox Media Group (CMG) recognized its top 2023 TV, Radio and Digital sellers during a recent all-employee Town Hall.

The celebration began with recognition of CMG's best sales performers - President's Circle winners - from each of its markets. CMG then named three overall President's Cup winners, including Melanie Martin from CMG-Radio in Tampa for Digital; Dave Cohen from CMG Radio in Atlanta for Radio; and Claire Spielberg from WFTV in Orlando for TV. Each earned a cash award.

"It's an honor to recognize CMG's best-of-the-best, each of whom takes great pride in serving our clients and helping them grow their businesses," said Dan York, CMG President & CEO. "To earn this recognition takes strong business acumen and the ability to help our clients envision and realize their potential."

Martin is a 12-time President's Circle digital winner and has earned five President's Cups. Clickhere for her thoughts on what it takes to succeed.

Jason Meder, VP and General Manager of CMG Radio in Tampa, has his own thoughts on that. "Melanie wins because she never gives up. She sweats the small stuff to set herself apart," Meder said. "She genuinely cares about the success of every campaign she builds and she ensures the long-term success for all of her clients.

For Cohen, it was his disciplined daily pursuit of driving results and winning with his partners that helped him win his third President's Cup (two in the last three years) and seventh President's Circle award for Radio. Click here for Cohen's remarks after receiving his award.

"Dave distinguishes himself from all the rest," said Jaleigh Long, VP-GM of CMG Radio in Atlanta. "Dave's exceptional talent, dedication, and expertise is an inspiration, and it's an honor to see his hard work recognized."

Spielberg won her first President's Cup for TV based on strong 2023 results, which came seven years after she left an award-winning career as a teacher. Click here for Spielberg's thoughts on winning her first Cup.

According to Paul Briggs, VP-GM of Orlando's WFTV, "If you ask Claire what the secret to her success is, she'd refer you to the quote posted outside her office: 'Go the extra mile, …don't worry, it won't be crowded.' Claire indeed goes above and beyond to consistently bring well-researched and customized solutions to all her clients."
