WASHINGTON, D.C. - Senate Agriculture Committee Chair Debbie Stabenow today introduced the Senate Farm Bill, which includes critical investments to support farmers, strengthen rural communities, and address the climate crisis.
Following is a statement from Rebecca Riley, Managing Director for Food and Agriculture at NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council):
"Chairwoman Stabenow's Farm Bill reflects her decades of leadership and dedication to strengthening America's farmers and rural communities. By preserving the historic climate-smart agriculture funding from the Inflation Reduction Act, investing in a new generation of small-scale farmers, and strengthening nutrition assistance, this bill equips farmers and rural communities with the resources to adapt, grow, and thrive.
"We urge Congress to come together and swiftly pass a bipartisan Farm Bill that secures these critical investments, supports farmers on the frontlines of the climate crisis, and ensures a stronger, more resilient future for rural America."
