Halsey Shares Life-Changing Love Story with Fiancé Avan Jogia: ‘He Accepted Me As I Am’

"Avan [Jogia]'s my biggest fan," Halsey told the "Morning Mash Up" on SiriusXM Hits 1 about her fiancé.

"It was very funny, meeting someone in such a unique time of my life," she said. "I've been dating since I was like a teenager, and then all of a sudden, I'm dating, and I'm dating as a single mom, and I'm dating as a person who has a lifetime illness - something that's not just gonna go away - so I have to be really forthcoming about it when I meet people."

In a post on X yesterday, Halsey confirmed she and Avan were engaged. "***fiancé Avan Jogia," they wrote, correcting a post that referred to Avan as Halsey's boyfriend.

"I was really nervous, and I've been saying this for a while, but I'm so grateful that as I took that first step kind of back into putting myself out into the dating pool or whatever - which I actually wasn't really trying to do," Halsey continued. "It kind of just happened with him, but I'm so glad it was him, because he's the most gracious, compassionate, well-adjusted, loving person, and I can't imagine anyone being better to receive me in the state that I was in."

They added, "He gave me so much space to just grow and to heal. He accepted me exactly as I am. He's incredible and I owe a lot of why I am back out here feeling great and feeling positive and wanting to have fun. I owe a lot of it to him."

Halsey's fifth studio album, "The Great Impersonator," drops October 25.

The "Morning Mash Up" hosted by Nicole Ryan, Ryan Sampson, and Stanley T airs weekday mornings on SiriusXM's Hits 1 (Ch. 2).
