Governor Polis Highlights SunTrain, Discusses Importance of Innovative Technologies to Colorado’s Clean Energy Future

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis joined SunTrain to highlight the SunTrain Pilot program, a collaboration between SunTrain, Xcel Energy, and NREL which transports clean energy, creates good paying jobs, and helps Colorado reach its bold climate goals.

"Our clean energy future will depend on innovative technologies like SunTrain to help get clean energy to those who need it. Colorado is leading the way to a clean energy future and state-of-the-art innovations like SunTrain can help us get there. Clean energy technologies create good-paying jobs, protect our environment, and strengthen our innovative economy," said Governor Jared Polis.

Earlier this year Governor Polis wrote a letter supporting SunTrain's application for a federal grant to support this innovative technology. Colorado is leading the way to transition to a clean energy future, protecting our planet, creating good jobs, and strengthening our economy. Through a wide range of money-saving clean energy technologies from geothermal energy to storage and transport tech, Colorado continues to work to reach its goal of 100% renewable energy by 2040.
