FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sacramento - Caltrans is continuing work on the U.S. Highway 50 (US 50) Multimodal Corridor Enhancement "Fix50" Project, which will include a scheduled 55-hour closure of the westbound 65th Street loop on-ramp from Friday, September 13 at 9 p.m. through Monday, September 16 at 5 a.m.

Construction crews working in this area will be utilized to complete the ramp paving and avoid further closures for motorists. Caltrans does not anticipate heavy dust or noise impacts to nearby city streets.

Suggested Detours

  • Motorists can use Stockton Boulevard or Howe Avenue.

The ongoing work is part of a $483.5 million project to rehabilitate pavement and add 14 lane miles of high-occupancy lanes from the US 50/Interstate 5 interchange to the US 50/Watt Avenue interchange.

Motorists traveling through the work zone should expect lane restrictions and be aware of commercial work vehicles traveling in and out of the area. The work zone speed limit has been reduced to 55 mph and the California Highway Patrol will be present for traffic enforcement.

For more information on this project text "Fix50" to 74121 or visit www.Fix50.com. Caltrans encourages the public to follow construction updates on X @Fix_50 and Facebook @Fix50.
