Job Summary

This position is in the Office of Unified Communications (OUC), Human Resources Division. The Office of Unified Communications (OUC) provides centralized, District-wide coordination and management of public safety and service access via voice, social media radio technology, and other public safety wireless communication systems and resources.

The Human Resources Specialist (FMLA Coordinator) is responsible for managing and administering the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave process. The incumbent will serve as the main point of contact for employees seeking FMLA and Paid Family Leave (PFL), ensuring compliance with District and Federal regulations and legal requirements. Additionally, the incumbent will provide program support for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Workers' Compensation.

Qualifications and Education

Applicant must possess (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped the application with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be credible, Specialized Experience must be equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression.

Tour of Duty: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
