Kansas City area maintenance work for Oct. 28 - Nov. 1

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from Oct. 28-Nov. 1. All work is weather permitting.

JACKSON COUNTY

Interstate 70 eastbound at Interstate 670 interchange near Troost Ave: left lane closed on Mon., Oct. 28, from approximately 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., for barrier wall repair.

Interstate 35 northbound and southbound at Front St.: various lane closures from Tue., Oct. 29 until Wed., Oct. 30, from approximately 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. daily, for roadway repair. Work will also require temporary ramp closures from The Paseo to northbound I-35.

US-50 NW Outer Rd. (Blue Pkwy) between Blackwell Rd. and Milton Thompson Rd. for pavement repair:

  • Mon., Oct. 28, from approximately 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.: single lane closure with a flagging operation
  • Tue., Oct. 29 until Thu., Oct. 31: full closure

JOHNSON COUNTY

Missouri Highway 23: flagging operation for pavement repair work from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily:

  • Mon., Oct. 28 - Tue., Oct. 29: between NE 175 Rd. and NE 400 Rd.
  • Wed., Oct. 30: between NE 400 Rd. and NE 625 Rd.
  • Thu., Oct. 31: between NE 625 Rd. and Route E

Missouri Highway 58 between U.S. Highway 50 and Holden: flagging operation from Mon., Oct. 28 until Fri., Nov. 1, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for shoulder repair.

PLATTE COUNTY

Interstate 29 southbound between Missouri Highway 371 and Route HH (Main St. in Platte City): left lane closed until Nov. 11 for bridge repair work. Details: REVISED: Lane closure on SB I-29 south of MO Route 273, extended through Nov. 11 | Missouri Department of Transportation

SALINE COUNTY

South Missouri Highway 41 between Missouri Highway 240 and Arrow Rock: flagging operation on Mon., Oct. 28 and Tue., Oct. 29, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair.

MO-240 between US-65 and South MO-41: flagging operation on Wed., Oct. 30 and Thu., Oct. 31, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair.

Route J between I-70 and Route AE: flagging operation on Fri., Nov. 1, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement repair.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
