Public invited to re-dedication of Oadby & Wigston Remembrance Room

Members of the public are invited on Saturday 14 September for the Re-dedication of the Oadby & Wigston Remembrance Room.

It will take place at from 10.45am at Wigston Cemetery.

Oadby & Wigston has traditionally always had a Chapel of Remembrance at the Elms in Wigston - formerly the British Legion. This building has now changed ownership and it has been necessary to move all the memorabilia and commemorative items to a new location.

There will be short service to officially re-dedicate and open the room at Wigston Cemetery, followed by the opportunity to socialise, enjoy refreshements, and look at items of interest held in the room.

All are welcome and there is no need to RSVP.
