MALAYSIA'S REPRESENTATIVE AT THE FUNERAL OF THE LATE ISMAIL HANIYEH

Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Datuk Seri Dr. Shamsul Anuar Bin Nasarah will lead Malaysia's delegation to Doha, Qatar to attend the funeral of the late Ismail Haniyeh, Chief Political Bureau of Hamas and former Prime Minister of Palestine on 2 August 2024. He will be accompanied by Senator Datuk Seri Dr. Mujahid Yusof and officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and the delegation will join the funeral prayer at Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque in Doha after the Friday prayer. The late Ismail Haniyeh will be laid to rest at the Cemetery of the Founding Imam in Lusail.

Malaysia stands in solidarity with the family members, leadership and people of Palestine. The insufferable grief, unequivocal suffering and untold sacrifice of Palestinians are the epitome of the life of the martyred Ismail Haniyeh who had given his family, his life and his soul to the struggle for freedom, peace and justice towards realising a sovereign, independent Palestinian state.
