Washington County is proud to announce the launch of the "One Washington County Oregon" Podcast. The monthly podcast will feature employees, subject matter experts and special guests from Oregon's second-most populous county discussing programs, services and items of interest to residents of Washington County. Named after the County's unifying vision, "One Washington County," the podcast aims to share stories that showcase how multiple departments, teams and individuals across the organization work together to serve and enrich the Washington County community.

The new series will be available in audio formats on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, as well as the county website and will feature at least one new segment every month. Each segment will feature 15- to 20-minute topical discussions with County officials, staff members, partners and members of the public. The community is invited to make recommendations for upcoming topics and guest speakers by completing a brief survey. Two participants who complete the survey will be randomly drawn to win a $25.00 gift card. County employees are not eligible to win.

"Much of what a county does to serve the community can seem invisible," said County Administrator Tanya Ange. "With this One Washington County Oregon podcast, we are literally giving voice to our services and the people who provide them every day, helping to make Washington County a great place to live."

The inaugural episode features a lively conversation between host Julie McCloud, assistant communications officer, and Nate Gaoiran, director of the Washington County Department of Community Corrections(WCCC). In this edition, the conversation highlights the WCCC's mission of providing community supervision for justice-involved individuals who are on probation, parole or who are serving a sentence within the minimum-security Community Corrections Center.

The "One Washington County Oregon" podcast joins a vibrant suite of existing county communication channels aimed to promote public awareness of critical community issues, public policy initiatives, county news and information, and upcoming community events.
