Newmark[1] announces it has represented Darkroom, South Coast Metro's latest dining destination, in the signing of a new lease at 3751 South Harbor Boulevard in Santa Ana. The restaurant debuted with dinner service on Thursday, September 12th.

Newmark Managing Director Ian Brown and Associate Director Vanessa Brown secured the location on behalf of Darkroom.

"It's exciting to witness the revitalization of high-quality, chef-driven concepts in the Santa Ana area, and Darkroom is the perfect example of that," said V. Brown. "This restaurant brings a fresh perspective to dining, and we are proud to have been a part of securing such a great location for them."

Darkroom, founded by chef partners Zach Scherer and Drew Adams, is a dinner-only restaurant that offers a unique, communal dining experience. The menu features a creative selection of smaller shared plates, large-format shareable main courses and indulgent desserts. By combining the finest seasonal ingredients with global culinary techniques, Darkroom aims to deliver an exceptional dining experience. The restaurant's simple, elegant plating style is inspired by the New Nordic movement, known for highlighting the natural beauty of each dish.

To complement the food, Darkroom has curated a wine list focused on small-production, artisanal wines, creating an unparalleled pairing experience for guests. With its intimate atmosphere and thoughtful menu, Darkroom is set to become a standout in the Orange County dining scene.

Darkroom will also contain a smaller restaurant inside, called Chrysalis. The concept will be a modern fine dining restaurant along the lines of the top restaurants of the world and is set to open in October 2024. While the food at both Darkroom and Chrysalis will feature local and seasonal produce from the top farms in Southern California, Chrysalis will include luxury ingredients such as lobster, wagyu beef and sashimi grade fish.
