Austin Bridge & Road Celebrates I-35 Groundbreaking

COOKE CO., TX - Austin Bridge & Road employee-owners joined their counterparts from Zachry Construction to proudly represent the companies' joint venture at the I-35 Cooke County Phase 2 groundbreaking ceremony.

The effort will continue already completed work on the highway, extending the improvements all the way to the Oklahoma border.

The freeway will be widened to six lanes from US 82 in Gainesville to Exit 1 in Oklahoma, across the Red River Two new bridges will be built over the Red River. The current northbound span will be demolished; the southbound bridge will become a frontage road.

Austin is pleased to continue its partnership with Zachry and deliver another successful project for the Texas Department of Transportation.
