SMRSA BRIELLE AND GLIMMER GLASS PUMP STATIONS IMPROVEMENTS

June 30th, 2024 NJWB

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The South Monmouth Regional Sewer Authority (SMRSA) recently closed on a $1,107,910 loan with the NJ Water Bank to upgrade the Brielle and Glimmer Glass pump stations. Both pump stations, which were constructed in the late 1970's, need improvements to replace equipment that has either failed and/or has surpassed its useful life expectancy and to upgrade other outdated systems. Construction improvements are based on the results of failing mechanical equipment, corroded piping, and deteriorating infrastructure at both pump stations. These pump stations are vital to maintaining the health, safety, and welfare of the community.
