ATLANTA - State Representative Mesha Mainor (R-Atlanta) will host a memorial intersection dedication for the Honorable Carolyn Long Banks on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church North in Atlanta.
The Honorable Carolyn Long Banks was the first Black female elected to serve on the Atlanta City Council. On the Atlanta City Council, she served at the chairwoman of the Public Safety Committee. Also, she was awarded the Joseph R. Biden Presidential Award for Public Service.
Following the dedication, there will be a sign unveiling on 14th Street and Northside Drive in Atlanta.
