Mill Valley Residential Structure Fire Fatality- Identity Released
The decedent has been positively identified as:
Jodie Lynn PRICE, a 51-year-old male from Mill Valley, CA.
On Monday, September 02, 2024, at approximately 12:38 AM, a residential structure fire was reported to 9-1-1 on Alta Vista Road in unincorporated Mill Vally. One of the two occupants were able to escape the residence but regrettably the second occupant was unable to flee the residence and perished in the fire. A forensic postmortem examination with routine toxicology testing has been completed. The cause and manner of death will be pending the conclusion of the investigations being completed by the Marin County Sheriff's Office, Southern Marin Fire Department, and the Marin County Sheriff's Office - Coroner Division. No further information will be released by the Coroner Division at this time, as this is an active and ongoing investigation.
