After significant improvements to Pixley Park with the help of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), Tulare County Parks will hold a re-opening celebration on September 13.

Recognizing the importance of accessible outdoor spaces, the Tulare County Board of Supervisors prioritized park improvements to ensure that residents have safe places to remain active during public health emergencies.

"It is essential that our parks offer welcoming spaces for families and groups to gather. These enhancements at Pixley Park reflect that commitment," said Pete Vander Poel, District 2 Supervisor.

The re-opening of Pixley Park, made possible by $2.1 million of funding through ARPA, includes the following improvements:

  • New Water Distribution
  • New Irrigation
  • Arbor Renovations
  • New Picnic Tables
  • New BBQ Grills

The public is invited to the re-opening celebration on September 13 at 9:00 a.m. at Pixley Park, 850 N. Park Dr. Pixley, CA 93256. The event will showcase the completed enhancements and provide an opportunity for the community to come together in this revitalized space.
