Four System Hospitals Ranked among Best in DFW

ARLINGTON, Texas - Four Texas Health Resources hospitals are among the best in Dallas-Fort Worth, and three are among the top 20 in Texas for high performance in multiple areas of care, according to annual rankings by U.S. News & World Report. In addition, 16 Texas Health hospitals received a total of 62 High Performing ratings in 20 common procedures and conditions.

In the DFW region, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas ranked No. 4; Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth placed No. 5; Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth tied for No. 6 and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano tied for No. 8 in the publication's annual 2024-2025 Best Hospitals report.

UT Southwestern Medical Center's William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital is ranked as the No. 1 best hospital in Dallas-Fort Worth for the eighth consecutive year. The Southwestern Health Resources network, which aligns the strengths of UT Southwestern with those of Texas Health, includes five of the top-ranked hospitals in Dallas-Fort Worth. Texas Health and UT Southwestern have a long history of working together and are committed to creating a healthier North Texas by offering highly differentiated clinical programs.

U.S. News evaluated each hospital's performance on objective measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications and level of nursing care.

The Best Hospitals Specialty rankings methodology and Procedures & Conditions ratings methodology measure patient outcomes using data from millions of records provided by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This year, among other methodology refinements, U.S. News incorporated new data on care provided to outpatients and to patients with Medicare Advantage insurance.

U.S. News evaluated nearly 5,000 hospitals across 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions; only 11% of evaluated hospitals earned a Best Hospitals ranking. Hospitals awarded a "Best" designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care and patient experience. The rankings and ratings are available online.

Texas Health Best Hospitals in Dallas-Fort Worth

Texas Health Dallas - ranked No. 4 in DFW and tied for No. 13 in Texas; received High Performing in the report's national adult Orthopedics specialty; rated as High Performing in Colon Cancer Surgery, Diabetes, Gynecological Cancer Surgery, Heart Attack, Hip Replacement, Knee Replacement, Leukemia/Lymphoma/Myeloma, Stroke and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR).

Texas Health Southwest - ranked No. 5 in DFW and tied for No. 15 in Texas; received High Performing in Back Surgery (Spinal Fusion), Heart Failure, COPD, Diabetes, Heart Attack, Hip Fracture, Hip Replacement, Kidney Failure, Knee Replacement, Pneumonia.

Texas Health Fort Worth - tied for No. 6 in DFW and tied for No. 18 in Texas; rated as High Performing in Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Heart Bypass Surgery, Heart Failure, Colon Cancer Surgery, Heart Attack, Kidney Failure, Leukemia/Lymphoma/Myeloma and Stroke.

Texas Health Plano - tied for No. 8 in DFW and tied for No. 23 in Texas; rated as High Performing in Heart Failure, Colon Cancer Surgery, Kidney Failure, Knee Replacement, Leukemia/Lymphoma/Myeloma, Pneumonia and Stroke.
