DENVER -The Mayor's Office of Social Equity & Innovation (OSEI), is proud to announce the appointment of Brian Firooz, as the new Deputy Director. This critical addition to our team underscores our commitment to advancing equity and inclusion within our community.

Brian Firooz brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in fostering social justice and equality. As a prominent figure at the Gary Foundation, Brian led numerous initiatives aimed at bridging gaps and creating opportunities for underrepresented communities. His visionary leadership and unwavering dedication have made significant impacts, earning him a reputation as a champion for change.

"We are thrilled to welcome Brian Firooz to the Office of Social Equity and Innovation (OSEI) as our new Deputy Director!" said Dr. Ben Sanders, Executive Director of OSEI. "Brian's passion for racial and social equity, combined with his exceptional operational thinking and execution skills, and deep compassion for people, make him the perfect fit for this role. He will lead the internal operations at OSEI, supporting all city agencies in developing and sustaining equity in programs, policies, and budgets. Brian will be instrumental in pursuing OSEI's vision of a Denver where all residents, regardless of racial or social identity, have equitable opportunities to lead vibrant and joyous lives."

In his new role, Brian will oversee the implementation of strategic programs and policies designed to promote equity across various sectors. He will work closely with agencies, stakeholders, and partners to ensure that the OSEI remains at the forefront of driving systemic change.
