Benton Woman Killed in Single-Vehicle Bossier Parish Crash

Benton - On September 16, 2024, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 157, two miles north of Louisiana Highway 162. The crash claimed the life of 64-year-old Angela Page.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2020 Nissan Rogue, driven by Page, was traveling south on Louisiana Highway 157. For reasons still under investigation, Page's vehicle entered the northbound lane, left the roadway, overturned, and collided with several trees.

Page, who was unrestrained at the time of the crash, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Although impairment is not suspected, routine toxicology samples were collected and submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.

While not all crashes are survivable, statistics show that properly wearing your seat belt will dramatically reduce your chance of being severely injured or killed in a crash. Louisiana law requires that every person in a vehicle, regardless of seating position, always remain buckled up. Properly wearing your seat belt is one of the most effective ways to save your life and reduce injuries during crashes.
