The York Water Company Appoints Robert F. Lambert Director

York, Pennsylvania, August 27, 2024 - The York Water Company (NASDAQ: YORW) President and CEO, JT Hand, announced today that the Board of Directors appointed Mr. Robert F. Lambert as a new independent Director effective September 1, 2024.

Chairman of the Board, Mr. George Hodges stated "Mr. Lambert has deep roots in our community and will offer the Board of Directors a unique perspective and experience base that he has honed over the past 25 years while serving York County. I speak for my fellow Directors when I say that we look forward to having his intuition and acumen as we address governance initiatives and responsibilities in the dynamic environment in which we operate."

Mr. Lambert joins the Board with more than 25 years of experience leading York County Libraries, and a lifetime of service to the York community. "The York Water Company's long-standing commitment to providing reliable water services, its proactive approach to regulatory compliance, and its dedication to community engagement are aspects that deeply resonate with me. Mr. Lambert received a master's degree in library science from the University of Pittsburgh, a master's degree in public administration from Penn State University, and a bachelor's degree in speech communications from York College. He has also completed Executive Education at Stanford University. Mr. Lambert has served in various positions within York County Libraries and the City of York. He is an active member serving on numerous local public and not-for-profit Boards, including Traditions Bank, Capital Blue Cross, and the York Symphony Orchestra.
