Growing up, did you have any pets?

Yes, when I was little my family had an Australian Shepherd, creatively named "Aussie." Later in high school, I had two horses, Missy and Bugsy, who received enough carrots and treats to be considered pets.

Do you like to cook? If so, what's your favorite meal to make?

Occasionally - no one will starve on my watch, but my husband enjoys cooking more than I do. On the weekends, I make a pretty good biscuits and gravy from scratch.

What are you looking forward to this fall?

I'm looking forward to a hiking trip to Rocky Mountain National Park this fall.

What are you currently reading? Would you recommend it?

I typically have several books going at any given time. I'm currently in the middle of Outlive, by Peter Attia, MD, and Peter Gifford; Good Inside by Dr. Becky Kennedy; and Right Thing, Right Now, by Ryan Holiday. I am enjoying all three so far.

What is your favorite snack?

Popcorn. There are several local farmers who have great varieties, and then we make it on the stovetop.
