In preparation for Hurricane Milton, Volusia County's Ocean Walk Garage is open to the public, free of charge. Residents with vehicles in low-lying, flood-prone areas are allowed to utilize this resource to protect cars from flooding. There will not be security on-site, and parking is at the risk of the vehicle owner. Residents are advised to take normal safety precautions, such as locking their vehicles and removing valuables. The garage will resume normal operations Friday, Oct.11, depending on the impact of the storm.

Volusia County will continue coordinating with state officials and the National Weather Service to assess potential local impacts from the storm. Residents can stay updated by downloading the Volusia Emergency Management app, following the County's social media channels, or visiting www.volusia.org
