Two New Squads in Elk Grove

Thanks to Measure E, the Cosumnes Fire Department has rolled out two new squads at Stations 71 and 74. Each squad is staffed by two experienced firefighters, including at least one paramedic, ensuring they are always ready to provide Advanced Life Support. These squads will handle medical emergencies and other emergency incidents, improving our response times and overall safety.

The new squads will be deployed in 4x4 crew-cab pickups, equipped with all the necessary tools and gear. Station 71 and Station 74 were selected because they often experience high call volumes at the same time. With these new units, we'll see faster responses, less wear and tear on other vehicles, and better service for our community.
