INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED: Juvenile Male Age: 16 Fort Edward, New York

INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested a 16 year-old Juvenile male after an incident that involved another 16 year-old male being stabbed, causing serious physical injury. The incident occurred on Broadway in the Village of Fort Edward.

The Juvenile male, who's name will not be released due to his age, was arraigned in the Washington County Youth Part Court where he was released to the custody of his parents and under electronic monitoring by the Washington County Probation and Alternative Sentencing until he can be brought in front of the Washington County Family Court.

The Juvenile male Victim is in stable condition at Albany Medical Center and is said to have suffered multiple stab wounds and a punctured lung.

Charges Filed: Assault 1st (Class B Felony) Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (Class D Felony) Menacing 2nd (Class A Misdemeanor)

Officer (s) Handling: Washington County Sheriff's Office Road Patrol and Washington County Sheriff's Office Investigations Unit.

ASSISTING AGENCIES: Washington County Probation Department, Hudson Falls Police Department and the New York State Police.
