Hickenlooper, Bennet Welcome Nearly $100 Million for Colorado Airports
WASHINGTON - U.S. Senators John Hickenlooper and Michael Bennet welcomed nearly $100 million from the Federal Aviation Administration to improve airport infrastructure across the state. This funding is made available through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, as well as discretionary supplemental grant funding.
"Colorado's airports connect rural communities and power local economies," said Hickenlooper. "Our Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is still delivering improvements to make air travel safe and accessible for all Coloradans."
"Colorado's regional and municipal airports help connect communities across our state and support local economic development," said Bennet."These dollars will help them invest in safety and capacity upgrades to meet Colorado's changing needs."
Specifically, this funding for Colorado airports includes:
