Domestic dispute in the town of Moira leads to arrest

On June 28, 2024, State Police members arrested Thomas G. Bush, age 42, of Moira, NY for criminal contempt 1st, criminal contempt 2nd, and endangering the welfare of a child.

On June 28, 2024, at approximately 8:12 a.m., Troopers responded to Best Road for a report of a domestic dispute that occurred at State Route 95 in the town of Moira. An investigation determined Bush and the victim were having a verbal argument which turned physical when Bush started grabbing and striking the victim, all while the children were watching. Bush took the children and left the residence. There is an active stay-away order of protection in place protecting the children from Bush. The victim sustained no injuries from the incident and declined medical attention.

Bush was located by the Troopers driving on State Route 95. The Troopers initiated a traffic stop, interviewed Bush, and confirmed the active stay-away order of protection. Bush was arrested and transported to SP Malone for processing. He was arraigned in the Town of Bombay Court where he was remanded to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $1000 cash bail.
