NACDS Names Stephanie Katz to Further Advance Pharmacy Reimbursement Priorities

Stephanie Katz - Vice President, Reimbursement, Innovation, and Advocacy, NACDS

The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) announced its hiring of Stephanie Katz, Esq., MPH, effective today, as vice president of reimbursement, innovation, and advocacy.

In this new position, Katz will work alongside Dr. Lauren Lyles-Stolz - also vice president of reimbursement, innovation, and advocacy - to lead efforts on pharmacy reimbursement across various payers and programs, concentrating on existing policies and crafting innovative and forward-thinking strategies. Katz and Lyles-Stolz report to Dr. Christie Boutte, senior vice president, reimbursement, innovation, and advocacy.

Katz most recently served as the assistant vice president for policy and advocacy at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. In that role, she focused on access to mental health and substance use disorder services and pharmaceuticals, federal programs, political strategy, and a special initiative focused on maintaining access to the six protected classes of drugs within Medicare Part D.

Her previous experience also focused on healthcare services and pharmaceuticals, specifically through the Medicare program, during her time at The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Researchand as a legislative assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives.She also is a former deputy prosecuting attorney. 

Katz holds a Master of Public Health degree from George Washington University, a Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California.
