Stevenson University Recognized as a “Best Value School” in the 2025 U.S. News Rankings

Stevenson University has been named among the nation's "Best Value Schools" by U.S. News and World Report. The 2025 Best Colleges listings, released September 24, rank Stevenson among the "Best Value Schools - Regional Universities (North)" and "Best Colleges for Veterans."

According to U.S. News and World Report, the publication awards colleges and universities a "Best Value" designation by examining several ranking factors, including academic quality relative to the average price paid by full-time undergraduates after receiving need-based grants and aid. Only schools ranked in or near the top half of their categories are included because U.S. News considers the most significant values to be among colleges that are above average academically.

"At Stevenson, we are committed to providing our students with an exceptional education and supportive community that prepares them for career success," said Elliot Hirshman, President of Stevenson University. "We are pleased U.S. News has recognized the value of a Stevenson education and named our university a Best Value School."

Founded in 1947, Stevenson University serves more than 3,700 students-including undergraduate, graduate, professional, and doctoral students-on campus and online.

A Stevenson education connects students to their career aspirations through exceptional experiences in and out of the classroom. From participating in Service, Leadership, and Honors programs; collaborating on real-world design and communication projects in The Mill Agency-the university's student-run advertising agency; or designing and engineering new ideas into reality in the Kahlert Foundation Makerspace Innovation and Biomedical Engineering labs, Stevenson students have numerous opportunities to engage in experiential learning and chart their professional futures.

This approach has produced very positive results. Annual post-graduation surveys regularly show that more than 92 percent of Stevenson alumni are working or attending graduate or professional school within six months of graduation.
