STATEMENT: Michigan Dems Chair Highlights Biden v. Trump Contrast in Debates

LANSING - Following the first presidential debate earlier tonight, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes released the following statement:

"During tonight's debate, Donald Trump showed us yet again what a dangerous and self-interested man he is, more interested in helping himself and his billionaire cronies than anything else. There is a clear choice this November, and Donald Trump could not be more out of step with the values of Michiganders - and we will not forget that he let us down time and time again during his administration.

"There are two visions for the future - Trump and his MAGA Republicans will drag us backward and try to control our lives, while President Biden and Democrats will continue to build a brighter future for all."
