Envision Dallas Unveils Expanded Facility in Farmers Branch

Envision Dallas celebrated a momentous milestone in October with the Grand Opening of its newly expanded facility in Farmers Branch! The event brought together over 200 attendees, including donors, partners, supporters, and members of the local community, all eager to experience the transformation their generosity and advocacy helped make possible. Special guests of the event included Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, Mayor Terry Lynne, NIB President and CEO Soraya Correa, Corza President and CEO (and NAEPB Chairman of the Board) Jeff Mittman, Former Chairman of the LC Industries Foundation Board Bill Hudson, AbilityOne Deputy Executive Director Amy Jensen, Texas WorkQuest President and CEO Fred Weber, J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation Executive Director Mike Goeke, Mission President of the Texas Dallas West Mission of the Church of the Latter Day Saints Jonathan Ord, and Former DART Chairman Huelon Harrison. Their attendance at the event marked a significant step forward in the ongoing mission of Envision Dallas to empower individuals who are blind or visually impaired through innovative programs, comprehensive services and employment.

Guests at the event enjoyed personalized tours of the state-of-the-art facility, providing a closer look at the advanced resources and programs now available to people with vision loss in the North Texas community. Each tour highlighted how the expanded space enhances the ability of Envision Dallas to offer training, employment, and adaptive programs tailored to fostering confidence and independence for people who are blind or visually impaired. Attendees could see firsthand the positive impact their involvement has had, from cutting-edge technology and educational tools, to the products made by employees with vision loss in our manufacturing facility. The ribbon cutting ceremony for Envision Dallas with the MetroCrest Chamber of Commerce occurred on the following day, symbolizing a new chapter in Envision Dallas' growth and commitment to service.
