The Consulate General of Italy in Paris activates measures to assist Italian citizens during the Olympic and Paralympic Games

As of today, the Consulate General of Italy in Paris has reinforced its services to guarantee the best possible assistance to Italian visitors during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

To this end, a 24-hour emergency number - 0033144304770 - has been activated for the entire duration of the Games, as well as an e-mail box - [email protected] - managed by the Consulate's "Olympics Task Force". Italian nationals with an Italian SIM card and present on French territory will be sent an SMS containing the abovementioned contacts, as well as an invitation to download the ViaggiareSicuri APP and to register their presence on Dovesiamonelmondo.

A practical guide containing useful information and advice on road conditions, sites hosting competitions, security measures put in place by the French authorities, addresses and contacts, assistance services offered by the Consulate and guidance on the various initiatives and tools made available by the French authorities is available on the Viaggiare Sicuri website.

Italy's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, stressed that "the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Paris and the other Consulates affected by the Games, will provide dynamic consular assistance to meet the needs of the many Italian citizens present in France. We have activated several embassy antennas in Paris, in the Île de France region, and in other cities in France where the Games will be held, to assist Italian nationals in need".

In order to facilitate operations, the Consulate has equipped itself with a vehicle used as a "mobile office", which will allow consular officials to be operational on the vast Parisian territory.

Lastly, thanks to the financial support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Committee of Italians Abroad and the Association of Italian Doctors in Paris have set up a "virtual help desk for medical guidance and support in Italian".
