Nashville, Tennessee - Today, the American Trucking Associations' Trucking Association Executives Council honored eight state trucking executives for their service to the industry and to the ATA Federation.
"These awards honor a handful of distinguished state trucking association executives for every five years of leadership at their organizations. These executives, along with so many of our colleagues here today, work daily in their respective state capitals to promote, protect and serve the interests of our great industry," said TAEC National Chairman John Esparza, president and CEO of the Texas Trucking Association. "This fast-paced environment of state governments, unlike the snail's pace at the federal level, provides unique challenges and opportunities for your industry advocates."
The eight executives recognized by ATA and TAEC this year have a combined 95 years of experience.
"The power of the ATA Federation comes from our state associations," said ATA President and CEO Chris Spear. "They advance our priorities at the state level and come to Washington to do the same. These leaders are critical to our success, and I salute them for their efforts."
