NOPD Seeking Suspect in Seventh District Shooting Investigation

The NOPD is seeking the public's assistance with information that can help to identify and/or locate a suspect in the investigation of a shooting that occurred in the early hours this morning (July 4, 2024) in the 4900 block of Alcee Fortier Boulevard.

The incident is believed to have occurred at about 4:55 a.m. with two victims - a male and female - having sustained gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to a local hospital via EMS.

Through investigation, NOPD Seventh District detectives determined that prior to the shooting incident, the pictured unknown Hispanic male was involved in a verbal altercation with victims before allegedly shooting the victims. The subject is believed to have fled the scene driving the pictured green in color pickup truck with ladders attached.
