Troopers arrest a Kingston man on drug charges following a traffi...

On October 10, 2024, at approximately 4:25 p.m., members of Troop F Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) observed a white 2018 Audi Q7 traveling north on Interstate 87 in the town of Cornwall in violation of numerous New York vehicle and traffic law. Troopers initiated a traffic stop and identified the operator as Anthony Johnson, age 41 of Kingston, NY. A probable cause search of the vehicle by troopers and canine Moran yielded a kilo of cocaine and approximately $7,739.

Johnson was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1^st degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3^rd degree, both felonies. He was remanded to the Orange County Jail without bail.
