Online Only Building Inspection Requests

Starting January 6, 2025, Building Permit Inspection requests will only be accepted online through the City's Permit Portal: Permits.SantaBarbaraCA.gov/Home

Using an Accela Citizen Access (ACA) account, a requesting party can:

• Request a new inspection, cancel, or reschedule
• View inspections that are currently scheduled
• Specify a contact person
• Add notes for the City building inspector

Inspectors will continue to call you to schedule an inspection time for that day.

Please Note: During the 2024 holiday closure, Building and Safety Inspections will continue to be scheduled for the dates of December 19th, 23rd-27th, and 30th, and 31st, 2024 and January 2, 2025.
