Utility work to close one lane of Hawaii Belt Road in Holualoa
August 21 from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

HILO, August 16, 2024 - Hawaiian Electric crews will replace a utility pole on Hawaii Belt Road, also known as Mamalahoa Highway, in Holualoa on Wednesday, August 21.
One lane of Hawaii Belt Road, between Waiono Ranch Road and Iokepa Place, will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Flagmen will provide onsite traffic control.
Crews also will be working in the area on Tuesday, August 20, but this preparation work will not require a road closure.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution when approaching and passing the work zone as well as plan for traffic delays in the area.
