Secretary Blinken’s Meeting with Singapore Senior Minister Lee

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met with Singapore Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong in Singapore today.

Secretary Blinken congratulated Senior Minister Lee for his successful tenure as the third Prime Minister of Singapore. They discussed the immense growth in the shared security, defense, and economic relationship over the past 20 years.

Secretary Blinken and Senior Minister Lee also discussed how the United States and Singapore can continue to work together to maintain the rules-based economic and security order in the Info-Pacific to support peace, stability, and prosperity for the people of both countries, the wider region, and the world.
