Lancôme Awards ‘Write Your Future’ Scholarships to 40 Young Women of Color At 115th National Convention

LAS VEGAS - The NAACP and Lancôme are continuing their partnership by announcing that again, 40 young women participating in the NAACP's Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) competition will be awarded by Lancôme's "Write Your Future" scholarship program. Since 2021, Lancôme has provided a scholarship grant and mentoring program for young women aiming to empower them to pursue a collegiate education with self-assurance and abundant opportunities for learning and career development. The "Write Your Future" Scholarship Fund builds on the brand's global commitment to empower women by supporting them in their pursuit of educational and mentorship opportunities and participation in entrepreneurship courses.

This year, 40 scholarships of $10,000 each were awarded to young women who shared their talents in STEM and business as well as visual, performing and culinary arts during the annual ACT-SO competition at the 115th NAACP National Convention in Las Vegas. These scholarships and other awards were presented during the NAACP National Convention main stage by NAACP Chief Strategy Officer Yumeka Rushing.
