Allianz Life Named Seramount Top Company for Executive Women

MINNEAPOLIS - Sept. 10, 2024 - Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life) has been named as a Seramount 2024 Top 75 Companies for Executive Women. The annual benchmark recognizes companies that promote gender diversity at the executive leadership level through succession planning, career development, equal pay, and other initiatives.

According to Seramount's latest benchmark data, companies are making progress in advancing gender equality at the senior leadership level. In 2024, companies who participated in the benchmark reported that 37% of all corporate executives identify as women, up from 35% in 2023. This trend extends through promotions, with 44% of promotions to corporate executives identifying as women, up from 47% in 2023.

At Allianz Life, the senior executive team includes four females, or nearly half of its nine members, led by President and CEO Jasmine Jirele. Women also hold 45.5% of the people management roles across the company.

The annual Seramount benchmark uses an in-depth application process with 200+ questions on topics related to female representation at all levels of the organization but with a primary focus on executive leadership. It closely analyzes each company's programs and initiatives from skill development and mentoring to succession planning and workplace flexibility. To apply, a company must have at least two female board members and 500 U.S.-based employees.
