UNF climbs in 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings

The University of North Florida landed for the sixth consecutive year on U.S. News & World Report's 2025 Best Colleges list.

UNFmoved up to No. 231 in the National Universitiesand to No. 126 in the Top Public Schoolsrankings. The University also moved up in rankings for its nursing, psychology and business programs.

"UNF has extraordinary faculty and staff, who work tirelessly every day to provide our talented students with the tools and support they need to be successful while on our campus and later in their careers and lives," said UNF President Moez Limayem. "We are proud these rankings recognize those efforts and move us closer to reaching our Strategic Plan goal of becoming a Top 100 Public University by 2028."

US News's data-driven rankings help guide many prospective students and their families during their search for higher education opportunities. The rankings are based on academic reputation, cost of attendance and return on investment. It focuses on schools that provide ample classroom resources for students and faculty, confer bachelor's degrees at high rates, and produce graduates who enter the workforce with manageable debt and worthwhile starting salaries. Earlier this month, the Wall Street Journal ranked UNF among The 2025 Best Colleges in the U.S., landing UNF in the No. 3 spot out of 15 public and private colleges and universities in Florida. The WSJ ranking of 500 colleges measured how well each college sets graduates up for financial success, considering chances of graduating, future earnings and feedback from students on college life.
