On September 30, 2024, Tarek Helal resigned from the Boards of Directors of BayFirst Financial Corp. and BayFirst National Bank. Mr. Helal confirmed that his resignation is not due to any disagreement with either entity, but rather to avoid the potential appearance of a conflict of interest with continued board service since he is starting a new position with his employer, Raymond James Financial.
