Reminder: Miller-Meeks Refuses To Support Protections For IVF

As congressional lawmakers try to force a vote this week on a bipartisan bill that guarantees the right to IVF, here's a reminder that Mariannette Miller-Meeks has refused to sign on to this legislation and repeatedly threatened IVF access for Iowa families.

Miller-Meeks co-sponsored the Life at Conception Act - a total national abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the woman's life that could also outlaw IVF nationwide. In the state legislature, she voted for a bill that could jeopardize Iowa women's access to abortion, birth control, and IVF.

Instead of supporting a bipartisan bill that *actually* protects IVF nationwide, Miller-Meeks is trying to mislead Iowans by signing onto a "useless " and "disingenuous" resolution that does absolutely nothing to protect fertility treatments.

As Iowans brace for the state's near-total abortion ban - which Miller-Meeks paved the way for - to go into effect Monday, Miller-Meeks can't cover up her extreme anti-choice record.

DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
"Mariannette Miller-Meeks is desperate to cover up her anti-choice extremism but there's no hiding her consistent, dangerous record of threatening a woman's right to decide if, how, and when she should start a family."
