Celebration of the Tajikistan’s State Independence Day in Geneva

On September 17, 2024, the Embassy/Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva solemnly celebrated the 33rd Anniversary of the country's State Independence.

Heads of international organizations and diplomatic missions in Geneva, representatives from the private sector, media as well as Tajik nationals residing in the Switzerland were attended at the event.

In his speech, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sharaf Sheralizoda, emphasized the importance of independence and drew the guests' attention to the need to protect its values. He also highlighted the significant achievements of the country and acknowledged the worthy contribution of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Emomali Rahmon in the establishment of a sovereign Tajikistan, as well as discussed the prospects and comprehensive cooperation with international organizations and the Swiss Confederation

At the festive reception books of the Leader of the Nation dedicated to the history and culture of Tajiks, the folk crafts, achievements of Tajikistan during the period of independence, photographs, beautiful landscapes of the country, as well as Tajik national arts, including national clothing and musical instruments have been presented.
