Osaka University Family 2024 Online Social Gathering held

OU held the Osaka University Family 2024 Online Social Gathering on November 16, 17, 20, and 21, 2024.

At previous Online Social Gatherings, participants break into groups to talk about specific topics and freely chat amongst themselves, were held for alumni. However, in this 5th event, in order to expand circle of friendship among the OU Family members, current students as well as faculty and staff members were allowed to attend, with a total of 108 individuals participating from all around the world.

Following a video message from President NISHIO Shojiro, in the first half of the gathering, participants broke into groups of 3-5 individuals to discuss specific topics (business, hobbies, and campus memories), and in the second half, free discussions were held among participants of all years and schools.

Participants had the following to say about the event:

• "I'm glad I was able to chat with individuals from different years."
• "It was nice to be able to interact with people from completely different fields."
• "The gathering was over before I knew it. I want to participate next time too!"

Osaka University will continue to hold events to deepen ties among members of the OU Family, so we hope you look forward to them!
