Meet the Students Featured in SWOSU’s Episode of “The College Tour”

This year's Family Day at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) will be extra special as the university celebrates the students featured in a national television series. SWOSU's episode of The College Tour will shine a spotlight on the lives of 10 exceptional students, showcasing their unique academic journeys, personal stories, and involvement in campus life. Parents visiting campus for Family Day will have the opportunity to see firsthand the experiences that make SWOSU a great place to learn and grow.

The students featured in The College Tour represent the diversity and spirit of SWOSU, coming from various majors and backgrounds. Here's a look at the students and recent graduates whose stories are shared in the episode:

Tiffany Lorenz - Engineering Technology (Freshman, Okeene, OK)
Tiffany, a freshman majoring in Engineering Technology, takes viewers behind the scenes at the Stafford Air and Space Museum. She highlights how SWOSU's hands-on learning environment and access to cutting-edge technology inspire her passion for engineering.

Josh Mooney - Pre-Pharmacy (Junior, Burns Flat, OK)
Josh, a junior Pre-Pharmacy student, shows what it's like to embody Duke, SWOSU's mascot. From cheering on the Bulldogs at Milam Stadium to excelling in the classroom, Josh balances school spirit with academic excellence.

Madison Bruce - Business Marketing (Senior, Pampa, TX)
As an out-of-state student from Texas, Madison shares her experience at SWOSU's iconic Clocktower. Now a senior in Business Marketing, she talks about the welcoming community she found far from home and the opportunities SWOSU offers for out-of-state students.

Jalen "Moe" Momoh - Physical Education (Recent Graduate, Mansfield, TX)
Moe, a recent graduate in Physical Education, takes a moment to reflect on his time at SWOSU in the Hammock Lounge. He shares how SWOSU prepared him for life beyond the classroom and the strong connections he built with faculty and fellow students.

Rebecca Lau - Master of Business Administration (Graduate Student, Selangor, Malaysia)
Rebecca represents SWOSU's graduate students as she talks about her journey from Malaysia to the United States. Filmed at the Stafford Center, Rebecca explains how the MBA program is helping her build a foundation for a successful career in business.

Christopher Svebek - Engineering Physics & Mathematics (Junior, Siloam Springs, AR)
Christopher, a junior majoring in Engineering Physics and Mathematics, is part of the innovative Rocket Dawgs team. His segment at the Wellness Center Mural showcases how SWOSU fosters creativity and collaboration among STEM students.

Audrey Boyd - Early Childhood Education (Sophomore, Yukon, OK)
Audrey's passion for education comes to life on the West Lawn, where she discusses her involvement in student organizations. As a sophomore in Early Childhood Education, Audrey is active in campus life and emphasizes the importance of getting involved at SWOSU.

Landon Santa-Pinter - Doctor of Pharmacy (Graduate Student, Choctaw, OK)
Landon's segment, filmed in the Pharmacy Practice Lab, provides a glimpse into SWOSU's renowned pharmacy program. As a graduate student pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, Landon shares his experience working alongside health professionals and preparing for his future career.

Nayeli Valencia - Applied Health Science (Senior, Keyes, OK)
Nayeli, a senior in Applied Health Science, takes viewers through SWOSU's historic Old Science Building. She highlights the many campus resources that helped her succeed and how SWOSU supports students from all walks of life.

Jonathan Martinez - Nursing (Junior, Midwest City, OK)
Jonathan, a junior Nursing student, talks about the strong sense of community he's found at SWOSU. Filmed on the Burton House Lawn, he shares how the university's nursing program has equipped him with the skills and knowledge needed to make a difference in the healthcare field.

These 10 students exemplify the best of SWOSU, representing a wide range of academic programs and extracurricular activities. Whether it's Tiffany's engineering aspirations or Jonathan's dedication to nursing, their stories show how SWOSU helps students thrive.
