City of Milton Celebrates New Basketball Courts with MHS and UWF Women's Basketball Teams

MILTON, FL - The City of Milton is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its four new basketball courts equipped with eight hoops at 5629 Byrom Street (adjacent to the BMX track). This exciting addition to the community will be officially inaugurated with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Local athletes from Milton High School (MHS) Basketball Teams and the University of West Florida (UWF) Women's Basketball Team, along with City Council members, will mark the occasion by taking the first shots.

"The Milton High School girls' and boys' basketball teams had an impressive 2023-2024 season, while the UWF Women's Basketball team finished their spring campaign with 13 Gulf South Conference victories, marking the eighth time in the last decade they've hit double digits. We're excited to have these talented athletes, along with their dedicated coaches and staff, tip off what promises to be a vibrant new recreational hot spot for our community," said Assistant City Manager Ed Spears.
