Officers Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect in Jamaica Plain

On Sunday, September 29th, 2024, Officers assigned to District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) arrested 33-year-old Adrian Thomas, of Boston, for Armed Robbery after responding to a radio call at 156 Boylston St., Jamaica Plain.

At about 9:00 PM, Officers responded to a radio call for an armed robbery at 156 Boylston St. and located a victim who he had been robbed while leaving Stony Brook Train Station at approximately 8:50 PM. The victim stated that he left the train station and was walking on Boylston St. when he noticed an individual walking in the same direction as him on the opposite side of the road.

When the victim approached the area of 156 Boylston St., the suspect crossed the street and demanded the victim's belongings while gesturing to have a firearm inside the front pocket of his hooded sweatshirt. After being robbed of his cellphone, wallet, headphones, and a golden ring, the victim was able to use a bystanders phone and call 911.

The victim was able to provide a description of the suspect and gave officers permission to use his GPS app that could track the location of his stolen phone and headphones. The victim's phone was tracking in the area of Dixwell St. and Columbus Ave., prompting Officers to conduct a search of the area for the suspect and the victim's belongings.

During their search, Officers were able to locate an individual, later identified as Adrian Thomas, matching the suspect's description in the area of 7-9 Dixwell St. Officers detained him and conducted an investigation.

Following their investigation, Thomas was placed in custody and all of the victim's belongings were recovered in the nearby area.

Adrian Thomas was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court for the charge of Armed Robbery.
