Best places and sports bars to watch FIFA World Cup 2022 in Singapore (Free screenings included)

Every four years, millions eagerly anticipate the world's biggest sporting event. While we may not get to see our favourite teams on the pitch, going to a sports bar with your friends or catching a free screening in public with the crowd can bring us a little closer to that World Cup atmosphere. Here are some of our top picks for where to catch this year's FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, held from 20 November 2022 to 18 December 2022.

For fans wondering where to watch FIFA World Cup 2022 for free in Singapore, community centres and clubs are a great option!

Like previous editions of the World Cup, the People's Association will likely offer live screenings of all the matches. Most matches will be screened indoors, in multi-purpose halls, auditoriums, or theatrettes - you'll definitely have a stellar viewing experience.

Do regularly check the onePA's official website for the latest match schedules.

2) SAFRA clubs

With six locations all over the island, from Tampines to Jurong, SAFRA clubs were popular spots for football fans to watch the World Cup in 2014 and 2018. It is expected that free FIFA World Cup screenings will be available at SAFRA clubs this year as well.

In previous years, seats were allocated for SAFRA members and there were football festivities such as lucky draws and free refreshments.

Check out the list of SAFRA locations here.

3) Our Tampines Hub

This is for the Easties: with a large screen in the middle of its Festive Plaza, Our Tampines Hub (OTH) is definitely another popular choice when it comes to where to watch the FIFA World Cup in Singapore for free.

As with Premier League and Champions League matches, OTH will stream live screenings of the FIFA World Cup matches at any time of the day. We recommend coming early as seats are limited. However, if you don't mind, there is plenty of standing space on the upper floors with a good view of the screen too.

As if the atmosphere is not enough, there will be live music and entertainment for eager fans waiting for the match to start.
