New Survey Asks Residents for Input on Future of City Forest

September 17, 2024 - What does the future hold for City Forest? Parks and Recreation invites Midlanders to share their ideas for its largest park space as the City Forest Master Plan process begins.

Via a new survey at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/ecityhall, residents and visitors can provide feedback on their current usage of City Forest, their favorite memories, and their ideas for future land use, amenities, and activities that will guide the development of the park over time. The survey should take 5 - 10 minutes to complete and will close to responses on Monday, October 14 at midnight.

City Forest users can also share their ideas during a public input session at the Law Enforcement Center, 2727 Rodd Street, on Monday, October 7 from 6 - 8 p.m.

Public input collected will be used to develop a preliminary conceptual design of the park that will be shared at the December 4 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. Future developments realized through the City Forest Master Plan will be made incrementally over time as funding becomes available. No funding source has been established for developments at this time.
